i was at a local chick-fil-a grabbing some lunch today. i pulled into the drive through line behind this woman in line. i see her reverse lights come on and i blow the horn. sure enough she goes into reverse hard and rams me. this messed up the front bumper and the front headlight and right front fender. made me sick. cops cape and filed a report. it was all her fault as i was sitting still with my foot on the break and the clutch in. there was not enough time to react and go into reverse however to avoid this accident. she admitted fault to her insurance company and they are footing the bill so i'm not worried about that. however i got a friend to get a rollback to come and pick the car up for me and carry it to a body shop. my hks exhaust was scraped horribly when being pulled onto the rollback. they will replace the price up to the cost of a stock oem exhaust system. does anyone know the price of stock oem exhaust? i am wondering what kind of cash i will be recieving back from them. i am looking for the price honda themselves would charge for a brand new oem exhaust system. not an online source. i appreciate it, and i'm definately feeling sick to my stomach right now, but it's just a car, even though it's a great one.

Our cars should only be towed with a flatback, it's not good for them.

Go to your Honda dealer, because they will probably charge even more than MSRP for the exhaust. Get the most money from her insurance that you can.

 

Some old guy backed up into my S with a raised F-350 diesal. Messed up my trunk, taillights and bumber. Got an estimate from honda getting like 8 grand for that.

 

a roll back is the same as a flat back. just different terminology. i'm gonna call honda today and find out on price of new oem '02 exhaust.

 

oem, 02 mufflers are $588.66 so hopefully i'll be getting that back...
