Larry yellow S2000 at Hot Import Night
Hot Import Night was in Chicago on Sat night. There are mucho cars. Everything, from all the imports manufactures. DVD/Speakers seems to be the hot things this year. Every car seem to have some sore of electronic gadget, and MANY of them have DVD. DVD in the dash, DVD on the roof, DVD in the trunk, DVD in the headrests, DVD anywhere/everywhere you can imagine. There are a total of 4 s2000 in the show, 3yellow 1black. The other three are basically stock except for Larry's(BodyWerks) S2000.
Oh Boy, his car was hot. Mucho people around the car. He got the s/c cleanly installed along side with the nitrous
. New yellow steering wheel, yellow/black leather seats, yellow trunk with the yellow nitrous bottle. 19inch rims, and his passenger airbag was gutted, made way for some cool gauges. I didn't have my camera with me
I was in a hurry to get to the show. There are some fast M3 in the show along with many turbocharged integras.

Too bad you don't have pics. Hopefully, someone else went and took some.

I saw that car. Very nice, very clean... now I want Comptech sideskirts.
My friend was taking a lot of pictures (I think he has around 120) but I don't know how many he has of the S2000s. I'll have to check back with him later. We just got back earlier today from a 12 hour drive).
BTW Nick, did you show your car there? I was there with the owner of an yellow M3 in the Meguiar booth across from a yellow S2000.

Ohhh.. whoops. Actually I think I saw you. I saw a yellow and a black pull into the lot. I came in a Navigator that was half parked on the curb there. Maybe you remember it? I'm from DC and came in a big group so I didn't even have my car. I was thinking that it was such a crappy strip but I figured it was where everyone raced just because the cops soaked it with water.
The night before, my friends and I went down to 106th, but when we got there it was all domestics. There was someone with a trailered drag car though. Huge slicks on it.
One of the S2000s at the show (the yellow I sat across from when I was in the Meguiar's booth) had very ill fitting rims on it. They stuck out about .5 from the fender in in the front. They were 18s with 235s in the front and 245s in the back. That and the Injen intake made it look like he didn't put much time into planning his mods. I guess he wants even more oversteer and hot air for his engine?
He still had temp tags on it and probably rushed it for the show. I don't really remember the other S2000s besides the BodyWerks one (I kept going back to it
). I looked at all the cars pretty quickly before the show started and just hung around one spot really when the lights went out. I wasn't really impressed with some of the cars.
Nope, the RX-7 was red and was part of a group of two other red RX-7s. All of the owners were Asian though.

Yes, I saw the navigator. The black S was mine and the yellow one was my best buddy. 106th street (stony island) Wrong hood buddy
. Those are mustang/domestic hood. The good cars are the one in the booths, those are the one that get sponsorship from shop/company. Most others are privateer, and i don't think it's fair for a privateer to compete with a sponsored cars. Some of the car are very awful, and most of them just slap on a body-kit and GT spoiler.
Are you still be in chicago for this weekend? We'll go racing again
. I'm planning to go the track tomm, since the weather is in the 70ish.

About 106th, yup, I found that out when we got there.
We were told by a waitress that it was where her friend goes. She said she had an Eclipse but she didn't go street racing herself. I guess she didn't know any better.
Yeah, it's funny about the sponsored cars, becuase the cars that win shows are always in booths of the show's sponsors (Toyo, Meguiar's). Although to be fair, my friend just got in the Meguiar's booth at the last minute and spends his own money on the car.
Sorry, we all left Sunday evening and got back yesterday morning. It was a nice 14 hour drive back to DC.
If you're going to NJ HIN though, it looks like I'll be there.
