Now why would they make a concept for a car that they're not going to produce?
Building a concept car that could possibly be a production vehicle is not the only reason for building concepts. Manufacturers build concepts for hundreds of reasons, and 99 of those reasons are not to put that exact concept in production.

Yes, they'll use features and design portions off a concept for production (usually in other cars). Sometimes concepts are straight marketing schemes and other times manufacturers build them just to show the world they can.

That car on the front s2ki.com. I think that's just a s2k, looks identical to the Spoon S2k in this video - http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5...q=s2000&pl=true

[ChazmoGuess] I think 2008 model year might be the end. Basically a year and a half left of the current AP2 plus the MY06 changes...

For MY08 something major will happen. Either the S goes away, or it's replaced with a ground-up redesign. [/ChazmoGuess]

Too funny xviper.

I've been responding to these threads ever since the days of Honda-Acura.net when some were told by dealers that the MY 2000 car was the ONLY year the S2000 was to be produced. That's one of the reasons given for such high dealer markups on the early cars. They lied - what a shock!

Do you think that all concept cars are produced? Most are NOT ever produced.
