Last year for S2000
As you all can see on the front page of S2KI... I am going to be really, really, pissed if I can't get my hands on one before end of this year. Because the S2k is what I have been working/saving for the last year. I am at a lost...
Edit: Just yesterday I read on the British car magazine Evo, they mentioned the same thing... Now, I'd be happy to be an April Fool for once. Prove me wrong, and I would be extremely happy to be wrong this time.

Well, there have been rumors that "this is the last year for the S2000" from the first day of it's production until now.
This car was hinted at not too long ago. I think it's "very" good looking but I wouldn't have bought one at the S2000's price, much less at the $43 to $50k they estimate this one will cost. If I had $50k to kill on a sports car, I'd be buying a Porsche.
This thing may be based on some of the S2000's mechanicals but it's not a replacement for it as far as I'm concerned. The S2000's biggest appeal to me is the fact that it's a soft top convertible. I compromised some on fit and interior room with the S2000. I'm not uncomfortable at all in the car but if I'm going to spend that kind of money, I'm going to have a bit more moving around room and, unless this one is a lot bigger in person than it appears in the picture, it isn't it!
I'm still in, "I'll believe it when I see it" mode!

regardless of what happens to the S2k.. you will be able to pick one up with super duper low miles for years to come. Half the S2ks are probably 2nd cars and don't get driven very often. For comparison, I purchased my SIX year old S2k with 7995 miles.
