Default LBP paint chip problem!

06 LBP with 13.5K front bumper riddled with chips, its looks terrible! Ths chips extend out to the fenders and up the hood almost to the washer nozzles. this is not a one event thing! (not highway travel behind A gravel trucK!) Its chip by chip leading me to believe this is a paint problem! I drive 20% highway and 80% around home, theres got to be something wrong with the paint!!! I have an 02 Oddessey with 70k multiple high speed trips to FLA. (1000mi.) and not 1/8th the amount of chips!?!?!
Any lagunas with the same problem???? Im taking it to the dealer, some ammo would help!
Another 1.5 years there wont be any paint left on the front bumper!!!

On my brothers Lancer Evolution he got a kit of clear plastics for the front end. They are all clear precut fancy 3m sheets that go over critical parts of the hood, bumper, and the entire headlights. You can't even tell they are there except the for the edges of them. Might be a good idea for an s2000 but i'm not sure if they are available for them .

They have clear bra kits for the S2K too.

I have LBP with a few rock chips. Its pretty normal and my old Berlina black had a few rock chips too. The stock paint jobs on the S2000 look very good but they are pretty fragile.

However, on my car, there is a super tiny section where the bumper meets the rear quarter panel.....there is a little paint chipping there. Kind of pisses me off a little.

i just had paint chip repair done on my hood and fenders on my NFR. they pretty much filled up 90% of the chips and you can't even tell. i would complain about the other 10% (smaller and more hard to notice) but for $215 for paint chip repair and a full exterior detail job, i can't complain.

Umm...this is no (normal wear!) Ive been to many meets... gatherings... the Dragon... I have not seen chips like these on any other S!!! I can except this amount of chips on an 00 (maybe) not an 06! Like I said, my 02 Oddessey has about 6 or 8 nice chips forward the front doors... the S Id say 30-40!!! (70k vs. 15kmi.)
The clear bra is nice but what about the hood? alot there too!

I doubt there is anything wrong with the paint. All new honda paintjobs are that way.

The clear bra goes on the hood too. I think mine goes up about 18 inches. They make kits that come up higher though too. Mine ran me around $600 installed, but when the front is still near perfect in 5 years I know I'll be glad I did it.
