My '01 leaked when I got it, used shin-etsu, no more leaks. Didn't think it was really going to work, what a nice surprise. I made it through two hurricanes here this summer, seals were fine.

I have a new top now, no leaks. Will probably use more shin-etsu on the seals this spring.

Also, is it possible to take the S through a touchless carwash?

My S lives in Seattle and is a year-round daily driver. It doesn't leak. But water will come in the window if it is opened in the rain (duh!). I don't see any supposed design issue being a problem.

No, don't take your car through a car wash. Never use high pressure water on a convertable top..

Thanks RevHi....its an 03 with 52K when I got it, certified bumper to bumper and power train. Made sure the tranny was done before I took delivery. Had it about 3.5 months, now at 60,500!
