NO ONE HAS MENTIONED THE BALLOON PLAN. Its a good cross between leasing and purchasing. Cars in YOUR name (No purchase option etc) low payments (only pay for what you use) Then pay / trade / sell the residual off.
Read my post from yesterday morning: "You can get many of the same cash flow benefits of leasing w/o the downsides by financing w/ a balloon pmt. "...I agree that it's often a good option.

Like sink it in the market so it can decline to $10K? I sold MSFT LEAPS when MSFT was trading @ $95 to fund my car (actually, the Supra Turbo I bought and then traded for the S2000). Had I not liquidated that investment, it prob. would have become worthless. The Supra and the S2000 are some of the best investments I've had over the last couple of years!
