Default Leather care kit available by day's end tomorrow

Our new Townsend Leather premium leather car kit will be available on our web site by the end of the day tomorrow.

We're making this available because many of you asked for it and many of the leather care products sold in auto stores actually damage the leather and shorten its life. Most of these products encourage the accumulation of dirt in the leather pores and accelerate the drying out and cracking of the leather. Take saddle soap, for example. It's one of the worse things you can use on your seats. Other products have the wrong ph balance and are too acidic or alkaline.

Our Premium Leather Care and Cleaning Kit will pamper your leather seats and extend their life. It contains all the materials you need to care for the leather on your S2000 as well as any other leather goods you may have. The kit includes:

Leather Cleaner, in pre-moistened, ph-balance wipes

Conditioner and Protector, in a bottled wipe-on ph-balanced cream

Ink and Stain Remover, in a rubbing stick that removes scuff stains, lipstick, grease, ink, and other difficult stains

A buffing cloth for quick cleaning and buffing of finished leather.

The kit comes with detailed instructions for the use of each of these items as well as extensive instructions for the care and maintenance of finished leather.

The kit is made by is made by Townsend Leather

How am I ever going to save any money if you keep finding ways for me to spend it, Rick?
Not fair!

I second that. Every time I swear I'm not going to spend any money on my car for awhile Rick has to come out with something I want to buy.

Rick your such a capitalist damnit!

Rick or others:

What is your opinion of Lexol leather care products?

Another product I have (that I don't recall the name of off-hand) is a cleaner and conditioner provided to me by the outfit that built my custom leather sofas and chair. Pretty high-end furniture, so I assume the products they supply must not be too bad.

I don't know enough about the Lexol stuff to comment. I think it's lanolin based though, which is a dirt collector.

I am at work, so I can't run and check the ingredients of Lexol. I know there are 2 different products; a cleaner and a conditioner. I have been using it on my Grand Cherokee's leather interior for a few years, and it seems to do a wonderful job. The leather upholstery does not get dirty easily (light neutral color), and it looks and feels fine on a 9 year old vehicle. Yet, I always like to know if there is something better out there!
