Default Leather Seat Issues?

The leather on my passenger seat is perfectly taut without any slack. However, the driver's seat has alot of slack right on the bottom, right where my butt would be. Is this normal?

This is quite annoying considering my car is only a couple months old. I'm afraid it will get worse with time...

Completely normal as there is double the use of your drivers seat.

I guess it depends alot on how much you weigh. Figure the Japanese are averaging 135 lbs and we Americans are probably averaging 200 plus. Fat assess == stretched seat leather.

If you think its getting too excessive bring it back to the dealership and ask for a replacement. Lots of people have had all or portions of their seats replaced under warranty due to excessive leather wear.

Seeing as how I weigh in the 140 range, I am concerned about the stretching of the leather seats. If it gets worse, I'll take it in to the dealership.

Thanks!

I fit into the "American Fatass" category and the leather on my '02 seats is tight as a drum.

I'm a semi-fat ass, and my seats are tight on my '00.

the issue i have is that the metal bracket that holds seat belt at the back of the driver's seat rubbed against the seat and cut a hole in it. any of you have had this happen?
