My friend told me that its a good idea to leave the car in gear when parked. I am used to putting in neutral so I dont know. Do you guys leave it in gear??? Why?

On level ground, I just pull the e-brake and leave it in neutral. On a grade, it's either in 1st or Reverse depending on which way I'm facing. Reason for this is in case your e-brake ever gives out, your car won't roll. Make sure you remember you have it in gear when you start the car though, sometimes I forget and THUNK!!! Look like an idiot .

Also remember to turn the wheel the right way...

Left for uphill, right for downhill...

I don' know about your car, Type R, but mine won't start unless I've got the clutch in, so no "THUNK". Do the cars imported to Canada not have this feature?

He means, push the clutch down, and start the car in gear, then release the clutch without removing the car out of gear, after that hang on!!!!!!! Did that once too.
