Default LED interior

has anybody changed all the interior lights to led lights. if so, where did you purchase them. also any problems with them. Are all LED lights fine? also what led bulb numbers do we need for all our interior lights

i know for GTi you need a special LED for footwell lights so it doesn't give out an error code.

also any pictures would be great

thanks.

There are several threads in the electronics forum, IIRC. I went with LED board lights for the dome, trunk and license plate and have been very happy with them. Each board has 6 high intensity LED's so there's plenty of light and even coverage. I haven't used or know anything about the drop-in replacements.

Are they significantly brighter than stock lights?

Here is a quick crappy pic I took the other night. It doesnt really do justice how it looks while your looking in the car or in it. For the price do it! Very cheap and nice mod.

Mine are red and are very bright. Can't vouch for the drop-in red LED bulbs.

that ebay listing says it comes with 2 bulbs--are those all you need to replace the dome/map lights?

the dome/map light is two bulbs.

i put in "6 LED" boards. two in the dome light and one in the trunk. can't vouch for the led replacement bulbs since i have no experience.
