Left Foot Braking...
So are there any negative ramifications to left foot braking?
Now with DBW, do the '06 vehicles allow left foot braking? My MKIV GTI would freak out during left foot braking and cut the throttle. However, disabling the ABS system elimated that issue...

Bad idea;don't forget, you have a cluth pedal to work with.
If you are in a race car with a sequential transmission, left foot braking is essential. The brake pedal in a race car moves a relatively short distance compared to the LONG travel in road cars. It's actually easier to modulate with pressure than with distance with your non-dominant foot.
I'd leave the left foot for the clutch only.

I noticed in the BMI touge races some of the drivers will use left foot breaking when in a FWD vehicle, saying they're "covering the weakness of FWD by using left foot breaking." I'm not sure why, it seems like it'd induce even more understeer.

Left foot braking in an auto car is ghetto.... it's dangerous. If your saying that you keep your left foot next to the brake solely for the purpose of braking and you've mastered it...thats one thing. If your saying that it was an emergency and you somehow slammed on the brakes with your left foot and it worked then thats another.
Using the right foot for both pedals ensures that when you are applying pressure to one....you are NOT applying it to the other.
Just a thought.

I wouldn't recommend left foot braking .... what about the clutch?
