Default Lenses cleared!

Just got my lenses cleared at Generation 1 in Anaheim. They did a great job (just under 2 hours). I went amber bulbs instead of the hyper whites -- looks great!

WOW! What did you pay for this to be done? Curious as I have seen posts on here that it took hours to do!

Not that I would have mine done. . .but it does have a good look!

2 hours is impressive!

Cool, where did you get the amber bulbs? Are they Polargs M1's?

I paid $120 for labor and $20 for the bulbs. The shop has done about 15 so far (I believe DarkCrow was the first). Took two guys only 2 hours -- they have it down to a science, but they don't use any different technique from others on the board.

I'll have to check on the bulb manufacturer -- it is the same company that makes the hyper whites. I would have loved to get bulbs that had a silver coating on the front to minimize the amber look when the lights are off, but I think it looks good anyway.

Do they warranty their work? (like from moisture from bad seals)

Does anybody have a pic of a yellow with cleared lenses. I have been considering this but am not sure if it will make as a much of a difference on my yellow as it does on say a silver or black.

Any thoughts?

We just got the Japanese turn signal bulb mounts, which hold a bulb with a bayonet mount. These will fit into our clear corner Euros and permit us to use LEDs or the Phillips silverpoint silver off, amber on bulbs, which I highly recommend for anyone doing clear corners, whether do-it-yourself of the Euros.
