Less then stellar service with a Vendor on here...
I ordered some Volk Time Attacks yesterday from a Vendor in the groupbuy forum who shall go unnamed. The price they quoted me via pm was $2100 + tax + shipping. I figured, great, since I am not in CA, then it will just be $2100 plus shipping. I called back yesterday to order. The vendor told me the total would be $2284. Now to me, that seemed a bit high for shipping, especially some light weight volks. I questioned the shipping charge and they told me they charged a 3% fee for using a credit card to pay(do reputable shops still do this?) and then $120 for ground shipping (still high for shipping wheels imo). I told them that I thought these charges were high, and in the case of the cc card charge, unecessary. They told me I could take it or leave it. On top of this, they were also trying to sell the wheels with out centercaps until I insisted that they were included. I am also receiving the wheels with no lugs. I spoke both with Steve @ Evolution, and also Evasive (both great guys to deal with), and they both agreed that a set of el cheapo chrome lugs should have been included. Steve warned that since they are not including lugs, this may be a case of a Vendor not being an official Volk retailer and selling the wheels black market. Now I understand this is a sellers market, and you have to pay to play. I didn't want to wait a couple of months for some time attacks to come in, so I figured i'd just go with it. Not bitching, just putting a warning out about these guys. If you want to know the name, feel free to pm me.
In the meantime, what lugs does everyone suggest to run on the Volks until I pickup some Volk lugs in the near future?

Not sure exactly what you're complaining about. Vendor sets the price and shipping and you take it or leave it. If you can get the same thing from someone else for cheaper go there.
From your comments, I'm not seeing anything wrong with the service. It's not the service you're having a problem with but, the price. You want something cheaper than they're willing to give it to you for and now, you're trying to give them a black eye.
What exactly did they do wrong? Is wanting to make a profit, a sin these days?

Many small companies charge credit card fees because they have to pay a monthly or yearly fee (based on contract) for processing credit card transactions, if the company doesn't do much business, then will end up losing too much money not to charge.
That's unfair since the vendor knew your method of payment and your zip for shipping at the time of purchase but did not post a disclaimer.
I have a set of new stock lugs which came with my LE28N's if you're interested.
