After 2 hours and very frustrating time later, i realized that horn installation should be left for professionals to install.

i'm too ashamed to give y'all details, but needless to say, i've learned my lesson. i didn't short anything out, thank god, but i did manage to not have any horn as of now. i'm very angry at myself, as you may imagine. anyway, i'll be spending the $125 required to install a horn tomorrow. it wasn't a cheap lesson, but i can assure you, i got the point. from now i'm stayin' with mechanical stuff. no more eletricals

Mingster,

Sorry to hear about your "lesson". If I wasn't going to the racetrack this weekend I'd offer to help you fix it. The electrical part is the part I'm good at. If anything ever comes up in the future I'd be more than happy to help you out.

Well bro, if that store refuse to install it for me tomorrow (they're only open 4 hours tomorrow, and they're not sure if they can do it in time), then maybe you can help out.

i'm just kicking myself for failing.

but it was a good lesson.

So, what did you do? To be a real leason (for the rest of us), we need details. It still may be early enough to save the $125.

Not a problem. If you need help let me know. I'm at Willow Springs tomorrow and Sunday but next week in the evening or next weekend would work for me...

mingster, I'm really sorry to hear that. If you lived in my area I'd come over to your place and get you over the hump with it.

Dont' feel too badly, though. I found the installation to be a substantial challenge, and took four hours to do it (though some of that was schlepping back and forth to Radio Shack). Since I once did all the work to keep my early drive-a-wreck cars on the road(including engine rebuilds and new wiring harnesses), I'm fairly experienced with this stuff.

My point is that the work involved in replacing the S2000 horn is straightforward but not trivial, and you shouldn't feel like you failed at doing a simple thing.
