I love the top down in cold weather, but I'm not interested in stripping off layers.

Yes, I know you're all relieved.

Are you going to have a "replacing cracked rear plastic window tech day" for the 00 and 01 guys afterwards?

No the rear window is fine as long as you let it warm up enough, just point the center vent straight back and put the heat on high, let the car warm up for 20 min or so and you'll be good to go.

The runs will have to be coordinated locally but I would definately suggest no highway or only for a very short burst (that could be the jumping into the lake effect).

Original clothing suggestion will be shorts and NO SHIRT but with a towel or something to keep our backs from freezing to the leather. This applies to all you ladies as well.

Currently the day looks like it will be January 13th.

"St Hilary's feast day on 13th January has gained the reputation of being the coldest day of the year. This probably dates back to 1086, when a great frost started spreading over the country on St Hilary's Day. It lasted well into March, and is said to be the severest Arctic spell ever experienced in Britain."

Also a final suggestion, if you are going to meet with other (as should be done) I would suggest wearing some sweatpants and a jacket for on the way to the meet and back (for those of you who may have to drive an hour each way, no sense making you do more then everyone else).

Badge will be made later this week.

Ha ha ha ha. Very nice.

I drove with the top down when it was 24 degrees outside last winter.

Count me in. I have a MAJOR test (if I don't pass it I will lose my career, no pressure) that day and will probably need to blow off some steam that afternoon.

Darn it -- I'm not available on the 13th (working in Austin). I did drive top down from Austin to Dallas (all 200 miles) on Friday -- I believe the temperature was right around 40. Then back last night -- much warmer but drizzling the whole way. Good fun.

Enjoy the adventure.

I love to put the top down when it's damn cold and when it's raining.
Pretty cool to see rain goes over your head when it's pouring, you just gotta find good overhead ramp to hide under to put the top back up before you get home.
