Default Lets trade 2002 Pieces, I hate the RED

Well now doesn't this suck for me. My Black 2002 is finally in and... uuuhhhgggg...it is so RED. Choice time, do I reorder another black with black interior and wait (again) or should I start to trade off some pieces with another 2002 owner? Who wants a bit of RED? Anyone interested in some trading?

Kinda makes you wonder if Honda actually talked to potential owners before they made these decisions, eh?

nasty...just nasty.

It leterally made me ill. If I have to, I will buy the black interior and then add the red I want. If it were just the seats I'd live with it, but everything....the dash...the center-piece...the radio cover? Come on, design a driving environment not a destraction! Perhaps they shoud have consulted with the SoCal design companies first.

I have a white/red 2000 and it looks great. The 2002, well too much red for me!!! I would have to see the interior inperson befor e making final judgement. If you are dissatisfied, I would reorder a black interior or see if the dealer will give you a credit and then you can swap parts --only exception is the dash!! My friend who worked at the Honda dealer told me that he had a customer that wanted a red interior (on a 2000) and the dealer swapped the interior from another s2000 they had on the lot--isn't that crazy! But it was true, I saw the install being done the next day.

Thats exactly what i was thinking. I wanted to order a silver with red s2k but, since the new pics, i dont know.

I was thinking that if you have some extra cash, you could buy the red leather seats and the red with black doors but you would have to make room for the new tweeters. A little extra cash for a damn better looking interior.

If you're going to switch interiors, then it would be cheaper to buy the color that you want the seats to be, since a new dash is much cheaper than new seats. I'm with you guys though, the new red interior is way too much red. I haven't gotten my S2000 yet, but the pictures I saw today have pretty much ruled out white for me since it is only available with this red interior.

HONDA YOU WATCHING???

I too think the all RED interior is FUGLY!(****ing ugly)

Their changes were definitly not throught out.

Things to change back IMO.
1. Shifter
2. Interior Coloring
3. Any of that chrome shit around anything!

Good changes(though putting a couple peoples product lines out of business):
1. Center consoul
2. Dead foot pedal
3. Tweeters

Undecided on the rear window(size is a big issue!)

What would you change back to the 2000-2001 model style.

Agreed, I have a 2001 silverstone/red, and if a 2002 red interior was my only choice now, I'd pass on the s2k
