lift-off oversteer
Quick questions regarding the advice for newbies that most people here agree on...
"Never lift throttle in mid corner"
1. Does this apply only for 00-01 or all AP1 s2ks or AP2 s2ks as well.
2. Would having VSA help in a case where you lift off?
3. How are you supposed to slow down mid corner? (In an emergency)
4. How hard is to pull the car back into control? Do you have any control or does it just snap.
Thanks.

Do all your braking before the corner, and you can lift throttle before the corner. Once you enter the corner just be smooth. If you realize you're going too fast approaching a corner brake like hell before you hit the turning point.
If you get caught by surprise in mid-corner don't lift or brake, the car will be easier to handle with the rear end sliding and some counter steering. In emergency situations many people follow their intincts to lifting and brake which transfers weight to the front end and then the rear breaks loose like nothing. As mentioned above in reasonable speed situations you can get away with braking and lifting at any point, it's only situations that involve excessively high speeds where it will bite you and people get into trouble.

If it's an emergency, ie can not safely make it through the turn regardless of skill level, defintely going to hit something in the road, stopped traffic, an accident, straighten the car and full brake. Yes, you may go off the road but you won't slam in to other people/vehicles.
Not sure of any track books for cars, but reading " A Twist of the Throttle" really gave me a good understanding of the physics of speed and some of the two wheel techniques transfer. Like looking through the corner.
