Default Light Flywheel

Hi All,

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but here goes. Can I upgrade to a light flywheel without upgrading any other components of the clutch system? If so, what are some good brands and how much do they cost?

I want my car to rev a little more freely and I don't want to spend a whole lot of money. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all!

Jim

since you're under there already, why not just change both? It would save you on some labor charges when it comes time to change the clutch. just a suggestion.

You could, but I agree withthe above. You might as well change it all since you are in there. You don't have to go radical with parts, just put in fresh ones since you are there.

Thanks, guys. My car only has 13k miles on it and the clutch is still in tip top shape. I guess I'll just wait a few years for my clutch to start going before I do this mod. Thanks!

I would at least change the friction disc while I was at it... save you 13k miles (years?) before you need a new clutch again.. and its not exactly easy to get in there.

If your looking for something to just rev faster, i'd go with the 4.77 final drive. I didnt notice any change with my comptech flywheel but did notice a huge difference with 4.77's IMHO best mod out there for an S2000.

Gears aren't going to make the car rev any faster, just move faster. Plus, I think 4.77 is a bit too high for the AP2, maybe the 4.57s.

You rev faster through the gears but what he means is nuetral revving which is not effected one bit by gears.

i dont see the purpose of nuetral revving or trying to make it easier, unless the S2000 has been bought out by World Class Ricer Corp.
