Default Light Housing

I was driving to work on wilshire going towards santa monica beach when I saw a 04 silverstone ahead. I got behind him and realized his rear lights had silver housing!!!!!! I got next to him to ask how, and he braked then I saw that his front lights had silver housing aswell.... Never was able to ask him how though, he got stuck behind with the traffic. I would like to know is this some kind of factory mod that can be done? Are there aftermarket lights that can be bought, or is there a place that does this custom? Because it looked so dam nice to have silver housing on the silver car, i want to get red housing in the fronts mainly, maybe the rear. Must find out hoiw, and where..

This is a mod that can't be bought. You either have to do it yourself, or pay someone to do it for you.

I removed all the black butyl rubber from the rear taillights, and resealed them with clear silicone for a really clean look.

A member on this site named nibble has his headlight housings painted. You can see some pics of his car on his homepage. It's NFR as well but it's not MY04 though.

Here's a link to showing different colored S2Ks with painted headlight inserts:

The headlights are not difficult, and there are many threads on how to do it.

wow congrats they came out great. Looks like a lot of hard work, mainly time and patience. I think I may only do my headlights, considering it may look a little weird to have the taillight housing red, with the light being red also. Although I cannot start on this now do to the lack of free time I am having lately, but I will most definitely do my headlights soon as I get some time off.

Just had to add Nibbles car looks awesome, esp in person. Red is definitely the best color for this mod.
