Light for ignition key insert
Is there a ring of light surrounding the the insert for the ignition key? Is the light burnt out on my 2002 Honda S2000?

YEP! This is like one of my biggest gripes about the S2000...it's quite annoying...but then if this is one of the biggest gripes on your ride, then you got quite a ride

I noticed there was no light but it never bothered me because it usually doesn't take me to long to learn where the key goes without having to see it. It definately does go in at an odd angle though.
I don't understand this gripe at all. Because of the placement of the key hole, you must bend your body and twist your head in order to see the key hole. So even when there is a light, how many people would actually regularly bend their body and twist their head to look at the key hole?
I can understand if the key hole is on the dash or on the console along with a lot of other knobs and controls that you don't want to mess with. But most modern cars have the key hole on the steering column and there is nothing else around it. Like other drivers, once I drive the car a few times, I pretty much know where the key hole is and I can insert the key by feel. No big deal for me.
