Lightweight Flywheel vs. Header
ok I would ask what adds more HP but that answer is simple because a lightweight flywheel does not add HP it only frees up some lost HP. What I am asking is what has a greater bang for buck or what would make the car faster? I dont have enough cash for both so I am wondering would a light weight flywheel or header be more beneficial. Thanks

Just remember that with a lightweight flywheel, your RPM's will drop quicker in between shifts.
You also have 400 some odd hp, though.
How's the tuning going?
But fperra is correct - a light flywheel doesn't do much to change how quick the revs drop in our engines. I was surprised by this, but it's true. Get in a light flywheel equipped car and blip the throttle - it'll be difficult to tell much difference between it and a stock car.
It does offer a much different feel when shifting, however - I like it personally.

My laptop crapped out on me a week ago, so no tuning lately. Just got my new Fujitsu tonight, but I'm away on a trip until Sunday, so hopefully I can get back on it then, but I doubt it because I'm busy with a turbo install on someone else's car, so who knows when I'll get back to mine. That was a mouth full.
Actually I noticed a definite difference when I got my lightweight flywheel in. Deffinitly faster rev's in neutral...and faster rev dropping...but none of this is a bad thing.
I personally liked the revs dropping SLIGHTLY faster...it made rev matching much faster and easier. I am very pleased with my clutch setup...in sig...

are there any other drawbacks from a lightened flywheel? is something else prone to go wrong?

Well...no not really...
however, certain extreme lightweight flywheels can fracture I've read. It has to do with how they are made and what they are made of like alumnium vs. chromoly?...I've had no problems with my Comptech, and I'm sure somebody will chime in about the differences or at least provide a link

hmm, maybe I should reconsider that TODA flywheel I was thinking about a few months ago.
