Default Locking Gas Cap?

Has anyone found a locking gas cap that works well with Hondas?

With the price of gas going up, so does the chance of being siphoned. Also, it's a good security measure from pranksters.

Not just for the S2000, but other cars that might be parked outside.

Ok, so they bust into your locked car (or slash your roof), unlock the fuel filler door, then siphon out at most 13 gallons (or $26 @ $2 a gallon)?

You have to be kidding me...if they wanted gas they should go for an SUV with a 20+ gallon tank.

BTW - premium here is $1.50 so they would only get $20 worth with my full tank

I have a lock gas cap on mine, don't know the brand but no CEL. It is more for piece of mind, you never know when some clown might want to slip some sugar into the tank. There is no warrantee for that my friend.

Maybe I am confused here. I have a locking gas door. How do they get in without breaking the door? And, if I saw my door broken or open I would call a tow truck and have them dump the fuel.

I have this in my 4Runner:

You can also put a spare key and money in it as well. I've had it for over 4 years and it's great. You can set your own 3 digit code as well.

No, I leave one of my Hondas, not the S2000, parked outside, with the filler toward the street, and it holds 15 gallons.

Like I said, I'm looking for a locking gas cap that fits hondas. No joke.

He meant you "must be kidding" because what kind of moron would steal gas from a car's gas tank via siphoning?

I have one on my S, too. It's not the stealing of the gas that worries me, it's what might be put into the tank that does. Sure, if I see the gas door busted, I would know someone tried something. I'd just as soon not have to "further" deal with getting the car towed and the tank cleaned out.

Here, I wouldn't do this for anybody, but for Destiny ......................
