Hey, that sounds like a good idea. It may keep your antenna from getting ripped.

You guys have got to be kidding me. I would never use Loctite on the antenna, might cause MORE damage should someone actually attempt to steal it since it is bonded onto the base. The antenna is only like $14. As annoying as it may be to have someone steal it from you, it would be more annoying if they tried to break off the Loctite glued antenna destroying both the antenna and base. Which would cost WAY more than $14 to fix.

Just buy some extra antennas, and if yours does get stolen, just replace it.

When I park in an area where there is a chance the antenna may be stolen I just take it off and throw it in the trunk. I then take a small plastic plug and put it on the space left by the antenna. I guess it may be a pain to do this but its better than being pissed off by someone grabbing your antenna. By the way I'm on my third antenna.

the only time i had to replace mine is when i got the car- someone at the dealer took it!! of course they ordered a new one for me. not expensive anyway.

fixing the damage caused by someone ripping it out or trying to get it off the car if it was glued- now that would be expensive!

Personally, if they want to steal it that bad, they'll find a way and the aggrevation may result in a more severe violation to the car like a long key mark across the hood or trunk!
