LOL...I found the "secret" compartment
The official dealer prep for new car delivery should include putting 1/4 lb. of Limburger cheese in the secret compartment. This might help the new owner to locate it rather early in the ownership experience. Iwould have suggested one of those 'sausages' produced by the Diaper Genie, but it would not fit.
wow reading this thread brought back memories.....cant belive its been over 5 years!!! 
i remember the dealer didnt even go over the car with me cause she didnt know where anything was is it
this is the key this is the start button even that was a differnt concept. the gas popper took a few min to find the first time i got gas.

I've been confused by all of the talk about the "secret" compartment as well. I double checked to make sure I wasn't missing something. I asked 5 friends if they knew about it in my car. All 5 knew about it and 3 of them noticed it before they noticed that it was a stick shift. The term "secret" is facetious.
