Long distance driving
So I've decided to drive my car in my move from Dallas to San Diego...Are there any suggestions to try and avoid as much road damage as possible? When I made the move to Dallas from SD I was in my RSX-S, which is much higher off the ground and I was not as concerned. Should I put a bra on or anything? Any help would be appreciated from those who have driven trips like these (1300 miles). Thanks, Chris
Don't follow too closely behind anyone and you should be fine.
Also, don't forget the sunscreen!
[edit]: Give the car a good wash and a fresh coat of wax before you leave, so that all the gunk you accumulate during the drive washes off nice and easy.

A bra might be nice if you have one. If not, you could always tape up the front end with blue painter's tape. How is a 1300 mile trip really any different than a long weekend trip, though? I just drove 1100 or so down to the dragon, round about and back. I never thought anything of it. Yeah, you'll get more bug accumulation than normal (but not that many I imagine in the southwest). For that matter, how is it different than any trip?
I pretty much agree with DB8. Wash it, wax it, and drive it.
