Long road trip
The first time I took my wife for a drive, she asked why don't I use the top gear (I'm in 6th gear). Why is it so loud? Where is that drone coming from? Why is this, why is that, blah blah blah...
The bitch don't come with me no more.

3 problems, noise, noise, and noise.
In the winter, I wear ear plugs under my beanie, under my hood. It's so quiet, I can hear all the voices in my head clearly!
Take your wallet out of your back pocket before you set out. I always regret it about an hour into the trip if I don't. Other than that the car is fine for long trips. I have made several (10+) trips over 600 miles.
On a long trip you need to go top up or you'll get wind blown to death imo. The plus sides are better mpg and you can store stuff in the roof well.
There's lots of space in a top-up S2000, you just have to pack well.

Ear plugs. Seriously.

Earplugs are a must. I did ~1,400 miles last summer (all but 75ish were top-down). The wind will seriously kill your hearing unless you wear plugs. Makes it so much more comfortable, and you can still hear the stereo if you crank it up. If the wind is too much, go top down/windows up on the interstates, and it isn't bad at all. Most importantly, take LOTS of pictures. Sometimes you don't completely appreciate stuff until you're back home. You'll also have lots of random memories.
