This is what everyone says about every car on every forum so be a bit realistic here. Most of the people who claim "forever" end up selling it and getting something else.

I sold my FIAT to buy my S2000, I bought my FIAT new in 1974, if I can keep a FIAT on the road for 34 years (and it never saw a tow truck or side of the road), I can keep a S2000 even longer.

I agree with the previous poster who says that most people will get rid of the car in a few years even though they say they won't but like I said, my previous car I owned for 34 years so I think my history speaks for itself when I say the S is my last new car.

I can easily see owning my S for years to come, mainly for the fact that these new cars everyone [includng you HONDA] is building is looking bleak...especially with the drive for Hybrids.

While I may be too old to cash in I truly beleive that the s2k will be a true classic in the years to come... after owning a gaggle of MG's, a bug eye, and 914-6 in years past and seeing how these cars have eeeked their way into the realm of relatively affordable collectables there is no way this gem of a car won't make the cut... I see mine as this generation's MGB or Triumph TR... except it turns, stops, and oh yeah, none of those pesky electrical problems. You know why folks in England drink warm beer? Lucas builds their refridgerators...

You guys in your late 20's/early 30's.... hang on to your s car... bet you a buck it will be worth some serious cash some day... and the way the industry is going, probably sooner than later...

Mine isn't going anywhere, unless I become too feeble to get in and out of it.

Sold s2k number one and after a year and some months without it my wife and I bought a 2nd one. My first was a DD year round even in the snow. This one will not see a flake of snow. We plan on keeping this one. Its a modern day classic.

I'm keeping this car for a long time I'll probably retire it to summer only car in a few years but I don't see myself ever getting rid of it unless I really had to.

Replacing cars every 2-3 years is a terrible financial mistake. People like that are what keep all the used car dealers in business! Your losses are their profits.

I never did understand why people pay off a car loan and then immediately go trade it in and get back in debt! WHY?! There is nothing better than owning a nice car paid off clean and clear. I will never pay another car payment. I've had my S2000 3 years and plan for at least another 5 years with it, maybe 10. The only thing that could potentially force me to sell it would be 1. kids 2. mortgage
