Hello everyone. I have been reading this forum for a while now, and I finally got around to registering. This site is great, especially if you are thinking about buying an S2000 and want some info about it from actual owners.

Anyway, I am the proud owner of a 02 Sebring/Red s2000. I bought it back in December, but left for the Army until June, so I have only gotten to put about 2000 miles on the car so far. Actually, right now it is getting some warranty work (trans grinding 1 to 2 gear) done so I can't even drive it now! Oh well it will be worth the wait.

About myself: I am 22 years old, a master certified ASE tech, and am currently working as a mechanic. I still have the car pretty much stock, except for a injen intake. I have a Exedy clutch waiting to go in whenever I get around to it. I may put rims on some day, speed stars or something, but I don't know. Anyway I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself and I am looking forward to being a part of the site.
Later.

I was under the impression that 2002 S2ks did not have the 1st to 2nd gear grinding problem.

I don't know if they all do or not, but I am positive mine is doing it. It is getting worse and worse. Hopefully it will be covered by the warranty.
