Default "Look, it's Johnny Tran"???

On the way to meet up w/Quan (DeeGYM) tonight, these 2 girls in a Mercedes Benz yells out their window at me, "Look, it's Johnny Tran." What the heck? In case some of you haven't seen "The Fast & the Furious" he's the main asian villain in the movie driving the Veilside/Comptech S/C'd/NOS S2000.

Ok, I know I'm asian, however I look nothing like Johnny Tran...I look much better . I think I turned them on w/my "Thong Song" dance remix I was listening to right when they said that .

Anyway, I was wondering if anybody else had any experiences like this b/c of the movie?

Yeah, I drove the S2K yesterday and noticed ALOT of stares.....

This morning I decided to drive the Lude just to see what kind of reaction I'd get today.....man oh man....stares from everyone. I don't know whether the movie did the import scene some good or harmed it.

Yeah, just this morning as I was driving my Stook I heard, "Look, it's Johnny Tran!" Then I realized they were really saying, "Look at that old man!" Oh well, a fantasy life is a wonderful thing.

Nah.. His carpeted console was gathering lint and the MuzMat would have flown out the back window with his first Nitrous kick!

Muz,
Maybe they should have flown you and Rick to Hollywood to be S2000 advisors. You could have decked out Johny Tran's car with your products. And before each film shoot, you could have gone in a made the "final adjustments" before the director yelled "ACTION!". Just think, you could have a "stepping onto the floormat scene", a "Johny Tran's first gear shift(close up on the console cover)", a "drop the top(another close up on the Muzmat)", a "standing by the trunk(w/ trunk liner and trunk lid saddlebag)",and of course the "Nitrous burst that pushes Johny's head against Ricks leather headrest". Ahh. The possibilities.. Nice imagination, huh?

The funny part is, Rasputin314, an Austin owner, resembles Rick Yune (Johnny Tran) so much that our entire group was laughing during every scene that he was in!

The physical similarity between Vin Diesel and Jason Saini was eerie as well; though after seeing Diesel on one of the late night talk shows last night, I decided that I might be doing Jason a disservice to mention it, seeing as Diesel isn't the brightest bulb...

Haha, nobody told me about that!

Well, Rick Yune is Korean, and I have been told that I look Korean, go figure...

My favorite line in the movie from him was when he was racing the white VW:

"...Too soon, Junior!!"

Oh, one more thing.. Did it annoy anyone else that they kept calling it a "Honda 2000" instead of a Honda S2000?
