look! look! (pic)
gotta admit - i like it - it's the same dash as my bike (well almost exactly), so i don't have to readjust
... remember the days when people would say "digital speedo? just one more thing to go wrong!"

I was a little unsure about the S2000 digital dash before I bought the car. Now I love it, I had half expected a few "Knight Rider" comments off people but everyone who has been in the car likes it too.
The analogue dash looks very minimalist, like what you would find in a single seat race car, or dedicated track day car like a Catterham or Westfield. The 12k rev-counter would be useful for really highly tuned cars...basically I would say it is a good addition for a track car.

The thought of the digital dash made me cringe at first, but I wouldn't have it any other way now, no way. If I could be persuaded, it would have to be a beautiful unit (not like the first one shown in this thread), at some point I am still a slave to my vanity...I like things to look good.
What I really want is the same digital display but instead of orange all the way to redline, I wish it had a transition in color. It may sound artsy, but done the right way it would be beautiful. Imagine the bottom of the tack a deep blue, fading to a lighter blue at about 3 grand, at 5 grand a fade to orange and then white at the top with only the redline (which should be an even 10 grand if you ask me) being red.
Just my dream in letters

My gas gauge has gone from three bars to zero bars and back to zero bars again. I never know for sure until the warning light goes on. One thing that kept happening when I first got my S2K was funny as hell. I'd get up to go to the gym in the early AM and would reset the trip odometer in the dark in my garage. I would accidentally hit the next button over, reset from MPH to KMPH, and look at my odometer and say to myself "How in the hell did I suddenly get so many miles on my car -- what's wrong?" Duh!
My gas gauge sucks - it definitely jumps bars. I have no confidence in it whatsoever.
I wanted (and still do) analog cluster so I could personalize the faces. I really like the chronomoter look of the Lexus IS, its similar to a Breitling face.
BUT - after reading the adaptive coloring post, I think I would be sold on that immediately. Brilliant idea - I have never seen/heard that before.

Looking at that and the stock S2k gauges, I'll stick with my stock one even if they did offer it, as the Spoon one is the dumbest looking gauge pod I've seen so far.
