Looking for advice...
Can any of you Toronto (Ontario) S2K owners give me some advice on what to do before I take the top down. Looks like we will be getting some nice weather in a few weeks or so. I'm in Brampton, so anywhere in Toronto/Mississauga/Oakville are are prefered..
I looked into the Mut Mat but I would have to order direct from Austrila and I don't know how long that would take.
Have any of you ordered from Mut (how much did it cost incl. tax/delivery/customs)? or is there something I can get locally to protect the top from the well?
Also, looking for any local shops that sell Plexus and 303 and Porche Top Protector.. can't find them anywhere.
Thanks for any advice or recommendations...
Any of you guys from Brampton???

Just kidding kooma - my advice, order a muz mat, but use a 100% white cotton towel in the meantime for protection.

I also couldn't find Porsche top protector, so I've been using BMW's version of the same thing. It's about the same price (high 20's), but one bottle contains more than ten applications. (I hear Porsche's spray cans are good for only 2-3.) I used the BMW stuff twice last year. The last time was in September, and water is still beading up on the top so I'm in no hurry for the next application.
kooma:
1. Get the muz mat. Usually there is a group buy on. By all means, use a cotton towell in the well until you get the mat.
2. You can use 303 high tech fabric guard. In addition to being a protectorant from rain and stain, it provides UV screening. http://www.303-products.com.
3. Make sure you also use a large cotton towell on top of your window before you take the top down. It protects from friction of plexiglass against plexiglass when the top in in the well. It also seems to avoid creasing. Take the towell, fold it in half, and insert it up under the portion of the top that overlaps the window so the towell won't fall out as the top folds down.

I don't have the Muz Mat although I hear that it is great. I use towell instead. I also used a felt-covered tube (homemade) to prevent the creasing in the window. However, lately, I have been lazy and stopped using the tube. My window does not appear to be any worse yet.
As for Plexus, I think that you can get them in Toronto. I just don't know where. If you show up at our next meet this weekend, I can give you some. My sister brought back for me what amounts to a year's supply from the States. I had her bring extra for Roncone but he ended up getting some somewhere in TO.

We don't have anything firm set yet, but check the Meets forum for the updates. Also PM Tam-s2 he got me my can of Plexus. Its at a boat shop somewhere on King Street I think.
The Muz mat is a great idea, although I don't have one yet,We're working on a plan with Muz. Hope to see you this weekend.
P.S. can you send me your Email? I'm running a list of all the local guys so they can be notified of the upcoming meets. We're gonna do this on a regualar basis ( if we can
