Those look alot like TWM's....
any way i will ask them how much for the ITB for you F20C and F22C owners with out the DBW throttel, they also have an engine management which is almost identical to the AEM EMS. i will get all the info tomorrow @ work since i will be going to their facility to work for the day.

He posted he didn't do a dyno before the ITBs and he is only getting 200 rwhp with the hood open. Now close the hood and suck hot air and see what you really get.
Don't get me wrong I like ITBs.

I'm not trying to say that these are definatively better than turbo or S/C setups, but to people like XViper and others who say that the price doesn't justify the benefits, it all depends on what how you value different aspects of driving and performance.
ITBs are meant for fully-built NA track cars, and for this they are superior to FI setups, hence the amount of world-famous serious track S2000s running them. If you are talking about drag racing or showing off on the street then no, these are not for you.
I'm not trying to rag on XViper or anybody else, just saying that you should give someone the full story instead of saying "Vortech's the bomb".

If you read past the first page you would have seen the baseline dyno, which was 184.56whp -- the dyno sheet also shows that there are potentially some problems with the engine that this setup was tested on -- he still picked up +15whp.

I like ITBs. I think they look and sound awesome. I realize you will get better throttle response and some more mid range torque.
I am just not one of the crowd that thinks ITBs are the bomb.
I all boils down to what you want. I think the guys that buy them like to open the hood and say look at that. They want something different than a turbo or S/C. Which is all good but IMO 4k for minimal gains it too much and that is waht is comes down to everyone own opinion.
Do it for your self and no one else.
I still would like to see a heat soaked dyno with the hood down.
Yeah I didn't mean to come off as bashing anybody or what they said -- I agree that buying ITBs because they look and sound cool is a completely retarded idea, unless you have a prominent show car (i.e. the orange Amuse widebody car) in which case it sets you apart and adds some points at shows.
All I'm saying is that there is a very good performance reason for buying ITBs, but only if you seriously track the car. As far as performance that you would use on the street, they will not do nearly as much good as a turbo or S/C.
As far as the car jcarlton and I are talking about -- the tune with the AEM is a super-conservative basemap tune designed so that when you buy the ITB kit you can drive the car to a shop to get it tuned instead of having to haul it in; I really doubt that he made much of a gain with that tune. But yeah, $4k plus tune time for those kind of gains is hard to justify.

It has a post from a guy who's actually got these (or at least had them for a while).

Before I even knew what these things were I saw them on an S2000. The guy bought a hood from me and he had them on his car. I remember thinking how cool they looked, but man they seemed more trouble then they were worth. He couldn't keep his car running all the time, and it would sometimes die on him in lower rpm's and idling. Plus, since he was getting a vented hood, he had to be extra careful if it rained since these things can suck up some water. If they cost as much as everyone is saying I think it is crazy. Get a Vortech or Comptech and save the headaches.
