Looking for low expense, S2000 projects to do during spare time on break...
Well, I'm home for college until the 14th. The next mod I am planning for my car is the VAFC and I already have the money for that but I am waiting for a harness. Anyways, I am looking for little stuff that I can do to my car, that may be time consuming, but won't cost too much. I have a lot of free time on my hands, so I figured I should put it to good use. I have already painted my calipers and I plan on installing the immobilizer in the S2000 key after I get a Dremel for Christmas. I was wondering what things you have done and any ideas you had on little projects I could partake for my S2000.
Thanks guys,

I've thought about it...but two things concern me.
One, I really don't like taking off my front bumper.
Two, I am scared that I will ruin them. I heard of one member who cleared his and when he put them back together they weren't sealed which ruined his headlights in the long run. I really don't want it to look tacky.
But...I will probably go for it soon though. I haven't seen too many reds with it done.
Thanks for the advice,
-Brandon

Hmmm...the brake ducting isn't a bad idea. I may give that a shot. I don't know about a homemade wing, I kinda like the wingless look.
Any suggestions for cool interior or electronics mods too?
Thanks,
-Brandon

I had my brother in law clear out my headlights. I just helped with everything. He did most of the work. It took about 4 hours. I was worried about the sealing part of it, since someone picked up the wrong kind of sealant. But after two days things are looking well with it and no problems at all.

Next is the stereo. Stereo mods, IMHO, are more worthwhile than any performance mod, since they can be used anytime you're in the car - day or night, rain or shine, speeding along, stuck in traffic, even parked! It's hard to do much to start off a system without spending at least a few hundred bucks, but at this stage you could spend some time measuring, planning, choosing components.
I also like the idea of cleaning up the shifter surround. I did mine and it looks a ton better, though it was a bit scratched before I started. You might want to wait until yours is scratched before stripping it.
And how about a full day, wheels-off, head to toe detail? I'm talking Q-tips in the cracks, every inch of the engine bay sparkling, etc. Make it like new!
