A change in the cars sound for the exhaust. Louder, and more lighter.
The wheels would just be for show, better looks.
Thanks everyone for posting.

Edit: I might as well spend my money on a really good exhaust than going to wheels right now.

I'm searching for T1R 63 sparrow. Any other highend exhausts, mid range, nothing REALLY expensive but better than the invidia which has horrible drone I heard.

I'm planning on building my car with T1R parts...not as expensive as say Mugen parts, but top quality IMO.

Invidia = headache. Sure its cheap, looks pretty. But the sound is awful. Do a search on this site and you will see tons of threads about that exhaust and how ridiculous the drone is.

Pretty much any ebay mod you find is most likely going to negatively affect your car. No, a $120 header IS NOT going to be better than stock. Even slightly reputable companies like DC used to make good headers for civics/integras, but once they tried with the S2k they just can't get any more power out from it since the S is such a great car in stock form. In fact, the header caused the car to lose power even with the weight reduction.

Same with a $400/set of wheels. I'm sure those would be heavy as hell, and if you do decide to go with it, I guess just make sure you get them staggered to avoid ruining the performance of your car. Personally I your stock AP2 wheels, but I guess since you've had your car for a year you are bored with those.

Fogs. ugh. no comment.

My suggestion, keep the stock stuff as is, maybe look at slightly upgrading the suspension first, with perhaps a good aggressive spring that would make it look good, wouldn't want to run those rims anyway as a 4x4. Perhaps even check the FS forums for used quality stuff, you might get good parts at maybe even close to the prices you were looking at buying new stuff for.

No need to do everything at once

Yeah, i'm going to spend my money towards something better quality. I'll keep the rims now, and buy a good exhaust.

Thank you so much.

When I pick my exhaust, should I get these? Or they waste of money?
I have a friend with an EVO that has them.

What about HKS exhausts?

i have the invidia, the drone goes down after a few hundred miles but is still there

going catless supposedly eliminates even more of it

imo it sound good, and you don't lose power like with the HKS. i obviously didn't look to make power gains with the invidia

You'll soon see from people's posts that modding this car in a good way is *not* cheap.

A general guideline is to buy stuff used from other members on this board or to buy new from our sponsors. Prices are very good, as well as their service.

Welcome!

If you have not gone to a track/auto-x event, then I doubt that you really have a feel of what a stock S2000 is capable of. Sign up for an event and then look to mod, as you will have a better aspect of what you want out of your car.

BTW, I/H/E doesn't do jack for the S2000's. I would get gears before anything else, if I were looking to mod. But, once you've tracked the car, you will see that the S2000 wasn't meant for just straight-line power.

Get out there and hit some cones.

Please don't buy cheap parts to save money, you'll regret it in the end.
If you gonna do it, do it right IMO
