Default looking for opinions about paint

Hi guys,

I've had my S for two years now and I'm thinking about adding a red shelby type racing stipe just to make it look a little different from all the other silver S2000s in the world. Do you guy's think that would look cheesy? has anyone done anything like this to thier S?

Yea I know, thats what my wife and friends say. But I love my car and i'm afraid it will look stupid. If anyone can do a photoshop pic for me to see what it would look like I would appreciate it.

Actually, it probably wouldn't look that bad because it would be accenting the seat color.

Stormbringer has a white s2k with red stripes. PM him, I'm sure he'll shoot you some pictures. It's not something I would have done to mine, but it doesn't look that bad in person.

As already said, it's your car and your style. If it were me, I would be afraid a stripe might make the car look too much like a Miata. Remember once that was kinda the rage with Miatas. If the car ever had an identity issue at present, it will with a racing stripe. It will certainly look different from other S2000's but will that be at the expense of looking too much like the Mazda?

This is what we did - it is vinyl so we can remove it later if we change our minds, but right now we like it. It makes our car look different and that's what we wanted.

that looks great Ichibon thanks ffor the pic. As for the looking like a Miata, there are a lot of people who still ask "Is that a Miata?" the first time time they see it anyway. I think thats what is happining every time a 6 banger chevy or mustang comes up next to me and revs the engine, so thats ok too. Every Miata guy knows what we have though.
