Looking to purchase first S2000 (Info on car listed)
First off, I would like to say the s2000 community is already different than others I have seen, in a positive way of course. I am currently looking to purchase a S2000 this weekend. Just curious if anyone could give me some info as to what they thing is a fair price. Again, I am completely new to the S2000 stuff, and any info is appreciated. Coming from an Evo 8, this stuff is new to me.
Details:
2000 S2000
Berlina Black
48k Miles
Oem Hardtop
AP2 Front end, Cr Lip
Volk TE37's
Koni Yellow GC
Berk 70mm Test Pipe
The car itself is in immaculate condition. As bad as I want it, I want to make sure I am paying a reasonable price for it. One thing I did notice on the carfax, is it said Mileage inconsistency. This happened at a Smog Check in California. (The car spent its life in CA until 2012). It looks as if the mechanic plugged in 26xxx instead of 16xxx. The car went from 14k, to 26k, then back to 18k.Very easy to spot that it was a mistake. Other than that, I have no concerns as to buying the car. But just want to get an idea for price before I bite the bullet! Thanks guys. Npt quite sure how to enter a photo in here, otherwise I would have posted one of the car. Thanks again for the advice!

Hardtops are around 3-4k
TE37s are around 2k
The car itself if it was in immaculate condition, I would probably value it at around 13k with that mileage and that's me being cheap.
So overall 17-18k, I'd be happy if I'd get it under that but at 17k I wouldn't feel like I overpaid at all. Especially in California this price would probably be a bit more just because of location. I'd say 20k is the max I'd probably go for, because any more than that I'd just pay a little extra and find a CR.
I paid 10k for a stock ap1 silverstone with 84k miles and still felt like I got a deal.

Thank you! You'd be pleasantly suprised at what I will be picking it up for then. I don't plan to let this car go! Only worry is the mileage deal on the carfax. If I could post photos I would, but it looks like a very clear error in my opinion. From 14k, to 26k, then back to 18k. So it throws a mileage inconsistency on there. But overall the car is in awesome shape. Very excited to join the community!
The rest of the carfax is spot on. No issues whatsoever! I plan to do a compression test on it when I get there, and if all check out I will be taking it home. Also, being new to the s2k stuff. I am seriously in love with the look of the ap2 front end/ and cr lip. I can already see this car costing me lots of money, in a good way of course

Its not the first time ive seen a CARFAX mileage not get reported properly. Its was probably an accident. Rolling back the ODO is probably impossible on these cars.

But other than that, we're all humans and data entry is subject to a lot of errors and mistakes.

Ya know, I was curious as to if maybe auto check would be different than carfax or not. These can be great tools, but they can also be misleading and scare someone out of buying a perfectly good car! Regardless, thank you for being able to check this on auto check, helps out a lot! Here is the VIN#.

Whew! What a relief. It didn't show up on there so must have definitely been a mistake! Looks like it's a for sure I'm buying it then!! I feel the price is fair as well for the miles, and what's done to it.
