Default Lost control.....HELP!!

Ok, let me start by saying this is the most incredible car I have ever driven and owned. It will take me a while to get used to driving this beast. Coming from hybrid civics this is a totally different feeling(RWD).

I was taking a right hand turn and the back end came around. Luckily I saved it from hitting a pole but some damage was done. I broke off the right splash shield(thats what I call it) in front of the right front tire. Is this peice a one piece affair that includes both left and right fenderwell liners, left & right 'splash shields' and underside cover. Or can I buy these pieces separate. Your help is greatly appreciated.

I bought this car used and came with shitty Dunlops on all four(4) corners.

you might want to think about investing in some better tires i would recommend going with the stock s02's
or the s03's but go with the 245 instead of 225 stock size.

It's an amazing car that right !! But don't forget it's really lightweight compare to it's power,so you have to listen to what the information it gives you, if you give you some time to learn you will understand what i mean. When you are comming out of a curve you have to wait until you are almost out of it before you push it hard.

dunlops aren't made for this car - even if they are sp8000's or 9000's. some other cars they work well with, but not this one. please replace them, learn the limits of a rwd car, and slow down.

I can take a guess that your back end came around because you have narrower tires in the rear, less sticky tires in the rear, and that once you felt the rear end coming around, you lifted off the gas, causing more of the rear to come around. its just an assumption though.

as far as the pieces of the car you are referring to - if you are talking about the little black plastic piece that is underneath the front fascia - yea, its replaceable - quite cheap too. just ask TAllen/Trevor at www.handa-accessories.com for one.

you are not the first one that lost control, so don't feel bad, this baby from Honda like to surprise and scary the driver when push to limit. glad that you are alright and that are not too much damage except a plastic piece on your car.
just drive safe first and learn the character of the car, and get some high performance summer tire to match the car.

I know that this has been covered before, but, check the springs and make sure that ALL the shippinf rubber blocks have been removed. Those blocks will really screw up the handling.

computer: I was turning right and tried(but failed miserably) to drift however the back end just came over too far. I am pretty sure that the tires were the main problem. The tires do not have an aggressive tread patern hence to 340 treadwear rating.

As far as my driving skills, I know that I need more experience before doing anything like that again. All you guys and gals on this board are a great asset to me and my S. I appreciate your feedback.
