Default Lost interest in S2000..

Well guys after a lot of money/time my accident today just threw me under a bus. ( Not seriously)

I finnally got my turbo check by a professional to make sure everything was working fine and what not. The only thing he did was switch the FMU hoses around as he said they were backwards..

I was really happy to finally drive my car after ton of money and new paint job new body ,and new interior.. As i was pulling in to the gas station out of no where my hood just caught on fire...
I ran out trying to open the hood ( bad move i was panicking ) the flames just dispersed and hit me.. It wasnt too bad but within 5 minutes we put out the fire using a extinguisher from the gas station. Of course fire fighters came and they were opening the hood with the crow bar!!! and bent my hood and front bumper to no end... I was furious they couldnt just have pulled the knob???

After the fire they decided to tow the car. I havent seen the engine bay but the fire fighter told me it seemed as if though the hose on the FMU was not tightened and came loose.

So offically i have no idea what to do.. I really hope my motor is good. The worst part is that i had only single coverage insurance because i didnt drive the car at all for a while so i didnt need full coverage.. But things changed so fast i have no idea if i want to continue with the car any more... Maybe this is just a phase ,but i just cant believe it.

sorry to hear what happened to your car.
When I first begin reading I thought it was an actual accident (you got hit) then when I got to "fire", FMU pop right up in my head...

Hope there aren't any major damages.

Sucks man. Why did the firefighters open the hood with a crowbar when you already had the hood open?

I was wondering the same thing. Maybe he closed the hood again after using the fire extinguisher.
That sucks, man. I wish you luck with your S.

Who's the professional turbo checker? If you said that he advised you to switch the FMU lines...was the car running prior to this?
