this car will punish you if you don't understand or accept your own limitations as a driver. pure and simple. combine that with the fact that a reasonable percentage of the buyers of the car have no experience with RWD... you get the picture.

It would be interesting to hear how many people have wrecked the car in the wet on tyres OTHER then the SO-2's.....??

Everyone agrees that the SO-2's provide huge grip in the dry, but could these be causing part of the problem with wet weather handling??

I know that I am going to try some different tyres when I get my new one....

I think part of the problem is the S02's are so wonderful in the dry, it actually changes our driving style towards the aggressive side. In the wet, its a whole different ball game.

Interesting question. We did have one wreck (that I know of) on Kuhmo Ecstas. Anyone else?

For those that have wrecked their cars - thank God for continued production. There is a time and place for everything. Driving hard in the rain is a no-brainer. Don't do it. If people know that the car has a tendancy toward "snap" oversteer, then why in the world would you even mess around in the rain? Even if it is dry, if you know the car has the tendancy, wouldn't you expect it?

With the amount of track days and schools available, why would you even screw around on the street even if the weather is good? There is no doubt that the s2k is meant to be driven hard, but there is a time and place for everything. Pick your moments wisely.

Using the so2's as an excuse for wet weather accidents is just that; an excuse.

Brian.

Tokyo_James, you are not one of the people I was addressing and I am sorry for your loss.
