Default LOUD beeps

Twice now I've been cruising along on the highway and I get some really loud beeps. It beeps 4 times with about a second interval between each beep. Then there is a pause for probably 5 seconds and it does the same thing again. After that, nothing, it's gone. I have a shift beeper from modifry so I can only assume that this is where the beep is coming from, although it sure seems louder than the shift beeper. Both times the beeps have occurred I was just crusing in 6th gear on the highway for atleast 30 minutes, the first time at 85mph, the 2nd time at 65mph. Neither time was under any acceleration or anywhere near redline. So what is it? Is my shift beeper just depressed b/c it's not getting it's normal workout? Has this ever happened to anyone else, with or without a shift beeper?

One or more of the toggle switches may have been disturbed, resulting in a new setting that may serve a different function. You should go confirm that all the settings are as you intended them to be.
It may also be that the fuse holder is deteriorating, causing an intermittent ON/OFF in the power input. These have been known to break apart entirely, where a new holder is needed. Yours may be in the early stages of coming apart.

I don't think that's it but I honestly couldn't say, I've never heard the seatbelt alarm. If it is that's one rediculously loud alarm. If there's no other theorys on it's source I guess I'll take off my seatbelt for a minute to see what it sounds like.

That's exactly what happened to mine. I can get a new fuse holder and fuse at Radio Shack, but I've lost the fuse. I don't know which one to get. Does anyone know what it's suppose to be rated at?

It's not high amperage. I "think" it's about a 250 mA.
