Default Loud thump highway driving

Hello--I am 2 days into my 05 s2k. So far very wonderful. I did , however, hear on two separate occasions a loud thump from rear of car--driver'e side, it seemed. The first time was on the turnpike at 75 mph on cruise control. I know i didn't hit anything--sounded like a chunk of metal or a bolt hit the undercarriage, but I truly don't think that was it. It happened again at much slower speed on surface street. Any thoughts? Thank you. Also, how long should I wait before waxing the car? Can't seem to find anything in the manual about this. Thanks again.

Hard to say for sure, but keep in mind this car doesn't really have any sound insulation, so even a pebble flying up into the wheel well is quite audible. Go ahead and wax it as soon as you wish.

LousM,

That had happened to me a few times in the past while I was driving. Each times, I wondered whether something went wrong.
it's nothing. I wouldn't worry so much
