I posted a while back about being laid off from my Telecom/IT job after 17 yrs of service. Well, after not getting any real sence of what to do next I got to thinking about what I might be passionate about, what excites me. First thing that came to mind was my car(s).

So I checked into it and sure enough, new car sales is not too tough to get started in. After interviewing around I made my way back to the dealership from which I bought my S2K, Rusty Wallis in Dallas, TX. As it turns out they were hiring so - BAM! , here I am!

Anyway, for those that might be in market for a S2K, or any other Honda product for that matter, please don't hesitate to let me know. I'd be happy to work with you on answering any questions and fulfilling your new vehicle need.

I'll also try to post more later about my trip from Dallas to Vegas to L.A. and back in my S2K. I still need to get the pictures developed so I can share them as well.

Regards,

Sam Bailey

good luck Sam. I hope everything will turn out good for you.

TIP: Stay away from the salespeople who seems to be always negative. Trust me, it's harder than it seems to do that. They always seem to have all the "stories" and "know" who's a buyer or not a buyer.

How far is your dealership from Lute Riley? I was in Dallas last week visiting my folks. I went to Lute Riley to check out the MY04. They didn't have any in stock but had an MY03. Anyways, I asked this car salesman a few questions about the MY04 and I was shocked to learn that he didn't know jack about the car. For example, he didn't know the redline was dropped to 8k, didn't know about the change in tire size. The funny thing is I came in the show room and was checking things out and then this one guy came up and asked if he could help me. I told him I'm in the market for an MY04. He immediately ran away and grabbed his s2000 'expert', and it turned out to be this moronic car salesman who didn't know jack about cars. The whole time he was trying to get my number and sign me up for his waiting list. I was like 'hello, I'm just visiting and you guys don't even have a car for me to test drive. Like I'm gonna buy the car without knowing if I like it or not'. Anyways, I hope you guys are much better than they are. I'll check you guys out on my next visit to Dallas. Hopefully, you guys are not that much farther away. Peace

Haha, if you read the North Texas regional forum you'll find out that Lute Riley is absolutely the worst. They're close to me so I wanted to give them a chance to sell me my MY04, but it was like they were *trying* to look as foolish as possible. No product knowledge and no courtesy.

I ended up getting my car from John Eagle, but the guys at Rusty Wallis are great too. Good luck!

50cent,

We're just a few miles away from Lute Riley. We're at Shiloh and 635. I'd be happy to work with you on an '04. Currently, like most dealers, there are none in stock. It might be that way for a while until pre-orderd demand is exusted. However, if you'd like to come by and test the last '03 we've got and talk about an '04 I'm sure we could get you in line for a pre-order. And of course, I could take you for a ride in mind and let you see what the VTEC can do.

Anyway, feel free to call or come by at your convienance.

Sam
