There was a semi-recent AP1 for sale that a guy had stored for pretty much the life of the car. It had insanely low miles, like 1000 miles or so.

It still sold for less than a new car. But I wonder if things would be different now that there are no new S2000s out there (or at least very few remaining).

I think that some very low mileage cars have had some problems with sludging fluids and fouling out O2 sensors, though. It'd probably be better to pick up an 00 with 10k miles on it than one with 100 miles.

Guy could do a mechanical over-rev driving out of the dealer lot. The number doesn't mean anything if something else is F'ed.

So you all know, I personally wouldn't do it. I'd be happier with a newer car that had more miles on it. I'm not considering this car, just stumbled upon it.

A newer car even with higher miles will almost certainly be more reliable than a 9 year old car with low low miles.

Just think, in 9 years...
1. Water hoses go bad from age
2. Oil seals go bad with age
3. Tires that aren't driven on go out of round and dry rot.
4. Value goes down every year, regardless of miles!
