Default To lower or not to lower? That is the question.

Just like to hear some experiences...pros/cons. I have a civic with the eibach pro-kit and love it. So I think I would like the pro-kit on the S. Its my daily driver for the most part. Gonna be putting 18" on it...just wonder how the ride would be. Most people claim its like stock with 18" and Eibachs. That true?

Anybody out there regret lowering theres? I also have the OEM front lip on. How far from the grand will it be once lowered?

Share your thoughts please.

Eibahs only lower an inch, so you ought to be fine with 18s. I have the Tanabe with 17 SSRGT1. The car looks GREAT lowered.

I've got eibachs and 18's. I've bottomed out once. It's not something I worry about too much.

I say don't touch the stock settings, I don't believe any of those springs really improve the handling...and I think they make it worse...honda factory probably has the best settings for s2000

Should really qualify this with "IMO". I say b/c lowering the car will improve the cornering ability...lower center of gravity, stiffer springs= better cornering (especially with more aggressive alignment....IMO and the opinions of others. Now, the stock ride may be comfortable. I'll give you that, but to say its the best ride, is really not true. If that were the case, racers would not lower the car.

If you use you car as a daily commuter. It's all a matter of how much punishment your body can take on a daily basis.

Good post tenblade... I always like your opinions.

I guess I'm just looking for how much different the ride will be with 18" and lowered compared to stock. When I went from 14" to 16" and eibach's on my civic the ride wasn't a lot different...the handling was TONS better, and it was just a TAD rougher...I loved the result.

Just wanting to see if this is mostly likely the case with the S as well.

Thanks all.

while i have not lowered my s, i did lower my mustang (adjustable shocks, road race springs). This is what i would recomend: When you get the car drive it around for at least a few weeks to get the feel of how the car handles and the stiffness from the factory. To me, both of those are extremely well done. If after that time you feel you could handle the stiffer ride then go for it.
