Default Lowered S2K have issues getting on car lifts?

I was curious to know if any owners of lowered S2000's have had any issues in the past or present getting their car serviced from dealers due to the lack ground clearance available on the car after such a modification in relation to the vehicle lift device at the dealership. I will soon be purchasing either a set of coil-overs or spring/shock combo and have thought about this potential issue on multiple occasions. My plan would be to drop the car no more then 1.3-1.5" max.

Anyone else running around with this size drop or more and have no problems getting on a lift? I know clearance is at a minimum to start with and an issue of this type would definitely help me decide on going forward or not with the aftermarket suspension purchase. A part of me would like to think that most modern dealers probably have several types of lifts in the shop (ie..ramp style and or frame lifts) but maybe not.

Thanks for any info you can provide

I guess it would depend on the type of lift they have, the shop I use has one lift it wont fit on when lowered (we measured) and they have another they can use that might work.

When I am at my parents house (dad has a lift) we use a 2x6 that is cut into a ramp to get it on the lift...

I have some trouble on KG/MM race springs...about 1.5" but I never take my car to the dealer for services. And any time it does go on a lift, a simple 2x4 will get it up there

Honda dealers here (and everywhere else I'd imagine) have at least one hoist in their workshop that can handle S2000s and NSXs. I'm sure they also have some stout planks of wood.

My dealer uses a floor jack then slides the lift under the car.

You WILL have trouble with some lifts, particularly older ones. That's true even without lowering. I have had no problem finding lifts and shops that can deal with my 1" drop, but at 1-1/2 inches it might be a little tougher. Some of the CCR cars have to have the front bumper removed to get them on a lift.

A 2x4 won't fit under the bumper of at least one of the CCR cars ... but yea, 2x4's are the customary solution. I really refer to use jack stands rather than a lift whenever it's practical. We have a frame lift at the shop that fits under the car only if we use 2x4's, and I really hate using it, because the 2x4's do not inspire confidence.
