Default Lowering an S?

Been looking at getting an S and putting a Veilside kit on it. I've seen many pics with this kit on, but wondered if the car was lowered. Do people lower s2k's? I know the kit will make the car look lower because it adds some body molding to the bottom of the car, but I really don't want to lower the car. But I also don't want a big fender gap. What do most people do? Do you put 18" wheels on to fill the gap and then with a body kit it still looks low?

thats the next question...what size wheels to get. Was thinking 17's, but I wonder if 18's would look better. Or do ppl even go up to 19? Thought I saw some 19's on some pics...

Thanks ahead.

i would just get a body kit and 18's since you do not want to lower it....the wheel gap would not be too noticeable...

i see...of course it depends on the size tires too. I have eibachs on my civic and love them. So they make a kit for the s2000? How much of a drop? 1 inch I'd assume?

Is it worth doing?

yup, about 1" and probably the closest to the stock ride as any. i have seen them on stock cars- looks nice, but a bit too low for me. with 18" wheels, brings the car back to about the same distance from the ground as stock.

You need to maintain stock tire+wheel diameters. Increasing the sum of the diameters will throw off speedometer readings, handling, performance, etc.
