Not at all. I'm still debating on sizes. I might start with 265's. I really want to run 285's, but the car isn't lowered yet nor dialed in and I'm not sure if 285's will clear with the rims and fenders yet.

As for the suspension, I'm going to have a shop dial it in once I lower it and have it where I want it at. I need to buy suspension, that's the next big purchase after the ITB's. I'm going with Motons most likely.
Yea, once you start juggling rubber you open up a can of worms.

Paying somebody to go to the track, instrument, and dial in the car, is pretty expensive, but it's a very smart way to go if you haven't done this kind of thing before.

LOL, I should talk about expense. I'm sure I've spent more instrumenting the car than it would have cost to have someone else do it for me.

You flip the CV joints because the spider bearings in them actually wear out. Each side spins in a different direction, so when you reverse (flip) them the its kind of like their spinning reversed, but their not. I'm not sure how else to explain it.
It's not the wear in the spider that causes the vibration, it's the wear in the cup.

When you flip, the spider runs on a different part of the cups inner surface, where there is no previous wear to cause the vibration. Spacers do the same thing, by moving the cup outward slightly, presenting a new surface to the spider bearings, and this also solves the vibration issue (while leaving the spiders turning the same way).

One downside I forgot to mention - If you drop an inch, you can toss the spare tire. Honda says it has to go on the front of the car, and after a 1" drop, the front spoiler scrapes on the ground if you us the little spare tire. I threw out the spare and tool set, called it a weight reduction , and carry a cel phone, just in case I have a flat tire.
bullsh I'm running very low up front (lower than you, thats fo sho), and I drove 300 miles on the spare this past summer. The front mud flaps are very close to the ground, but they don't scrape

What kind of coil over setup did you have?

ok first off i know this thread is old.... but i was wanting to drop my s about 1in as well and was in between the eibach prokit springs and the eibach ground control coilover springs. i was wondering if the only difference between the two really is just that the ground control are adjustable and the prokit isnt?

Pro kit should be fine for you.
