Found this beauty today on Ebay, not a cheap price, but its essentially a new car, with only 499 miles.

Understatement of the century.
It seems a bit odd to me that the oem calipers are modified with red paint on an otherwise bone stock collector type car.

 

Seems like a crime to not drive an S2K. I hope the buyer puts some miles on it. Gorgeous car.

 

an endless debate this topic. That being said, this is a collectors item that will most likely remain a low mileage example. And I hope it does - these cars are becoming harder to find and I'd love to have one in this shape to store away as a classic. My current AP2 isn't a daily, but I don't have the resources to add another to collection at the moment.

 

Would be worth more and maybe even have a bid or two if it was an "00.

 

what makes you say that? 02, 03 were the most updated years for AP1...leather exhaust tunnel, glass rear window, silver rings around the tail lights...

 

First year bro. Oldest S2000 w/ lowest mileage. Most raw. Simplest form.

 

How does a dealer even get there hands on this car? Like would the owner trade it in or something I guess? Strange

 

But the first year was 99....

 

I thought 99's are my2000 tho.
