Looks like a good fit, plenty of room when you need to make repairs as well

my question would be, where is your redline?

if you make the engine compression high enough ?(8krpm) it'll probably start sounding more like ferrari, with little tweak here and there.

just wondering.

seems to me, this looks a lot cleaner on s2k than the miata, but why would you do this on the s2k if you're not auto-xing with it anymore? it would be more ideal to get a $3000 miata that's lighter to put this engine into for racing.

Flat plane V8's fire L R L R L R L R, while cross plane V8's fire L R L L R L R R which give it that distinctive lumpy/throaty burble. Now you could make a F20/22c sound like a Ferrari since a Ferrari V8 is nothing but two I4's fused together... The muffler has a lot to do with it as well, but is not as fundamental.
that's a good info. I didn't know about that.

So if you rev s2k to 13,000 rpm or something, it'll start to sound like ferrari/F-1 car?

That's what I'm figuring. Cosworth engine, forge piston to 13:1 compression to 13,000 rpm with stock exhaust will sound pretty good I think.
